	Equipment we use.

1. 35 mm camera with power zoom lens. I use a Polaroid. Excellent way to record the environment photographically. This type of camera is used by Ann's Paranormal. We use it to help determining whether various film anomalies are paranormal in nature.
2. Digital camera. I use a vivitar 3.3 This is a good economical way to record environment with instant results available to review. we use this type of camera as a "control" along with the 35mm camera. When useing the digital camera you dont have a negative as evidence.
3. Microcassette recorder with external microphone. I use a GE microcassette recorder. This is used for EVP recordings. Electronic Voice Phenomena. It can also be used to record interviews with clientele. This type of equipment requires a cassette tape. With the cassette tape available as evidence it can be later analyzed to prove or disprove the authenticitly of the recording. The low impendance microphone allows us to record with less background noises.
4. A compass. I use one that I paid $ 3.00. This ia an inexpensive way to detect changes in the electro - magnetic fields.
5. Tote bag and carpenter aprons. The tote bag to carry the equipment and extra batteries. The aprons is to wear while you are on an investigation, you can carry exta batteries and film.
6. 2 - EMF- Meters - Electromagnetic Field Meter--- dectects changes in the electromagnetic ( AC) field. In theory when spirits manifest they draw on energy sources from the environment around them. This gathering of energy creats a magnetic field that is much higher than that of its surroundings. In theory if an investigator with one of these instruments passes through an area that is occupied by a spirit entity the meter will show a spike or a rise in the electromagnetic field. Usually it is hard to recreate this spike or hot spot. because it ( the field) is theoretically in motion.
7. 2 - Infrared Digital Thermometers--- used to measure the surface temperature of objects from a distance through the use of a infrared beam. In theory when a spirit manifests it needs energy to do so. It will draw energy from any source available. One of those sources is in the form of heat energy. When it removes the heat energy from the air the temperature will drop dramatically and cold spots will result.
8. 2 - Motion Sensors.--- These devices are often used to make sure an area that is being monitored is not entered by anyone. It also helps us determine if any motion is present in an area during a vigil.
9. 4 - Digital voice recorders--- This type of recording device is used to capture EVP ( Electronic Voice Phenomena) while at possible haunted locations. It can also be used to record interviews with clientele. This device easily transfers EVP recordings to a computer sound file. The drawback to this type of instrument is the lack of a cassette tape for evidence to analyze. Ann's Paranormal often uses these devices as a " control" at investigations.
10. 4 - Flash Lights.--- helps to see in the dark.
11. 2 - sets of L shape Dowsing rods. helps to dectect Electromagnetic Field. This does the same as the EMF Meter.
12. 2 - Geiger Counters--- This device is used to check for detecting any rise in gamma radiation. In theory a spirit presence raises the amount of ion particles in the air, radiation attaches to the ions and therefore raises the radiation levels.
13. 2 to 3 - Cell phones. Used for emergencys.
14. 4 - Walkie Talkies--- We use these to keep in touch with each other when we'er out in the field.
15. 1 - Lap top computer--- We use this to down load pictures off from our digital cameras to go over at a later time.
16. Medical Kit - All members of Ann's Paranormal carry a basic medical kit in case of any injury.
17. Extension cords, coaxial cable,RF modulators. These items are need for us to operate our equipment and to use with our cameras and our closed circuit televisions.
18. Evidence bags, masking tape, chalk and tape measure. Evidence bags are used to collect evidence at the scene, the masking tape, chalk and tape mesure is used when a control item is place in a area that is being monitored with our equipment. The control item would be marked with masking tape or chalk and monitored for movement. Any movement would be documented by taking a measurement and recording it with our surveillance equipment.
19. 1- Camcorder This is a great tool for picking up images and EVP all in one shot. make sure the camcorder has nightshot capabilities and steady shot.

The number one rule of investigating is never go by yourself. Always have another person with you. This is for your saftey.

When you get to the site you want to investigate. Discuss with the person or team you are with about the sections you want to take pictures of. Make sure you know where your team members are so you don't film the flashes of their cameras. Because it can be mistaken as a paranormal event. Pictures are to be taken in sequence with the 35mm and digital cameras.

The hand held cassette recorder is to dictate notes so you don't have to try to carry paper and pencil. The compass with a reliable floating needle is used to locate the hits,(spirits).

When you have talked to your team members and you are ready to begin taking pictures, one of you say a protection prayer before you start. This will protect all of you from any evil.

Example prayer:

I paray that the Lord God All Mighty will keep us safe from harm while we are on this investigation. In Jesus name AMEN.

When you are finished with the investigation say another prayer.

Example:

All unseen presents must remain here in the name of GOD. Thank you for any evidence during this session.

This will keep all unwanted guest from following you home.

When I go to the cemeteries to do paranormal investigations, I usually go between the time of 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This is when I have had my best luck. I have found it doesn't have to be at dark or a certain hour. The more times you go to the same place the more you will capture on film. Because the sprits get use to you. And they are very curious about what you are doing.

I usually talk to the unseen sprits, and explain to them what I am doing. And if any of them would like their picture taken please come foreward. This is my proof that there is life after death.
